1st place in 3 categories for CSH at BHAA RTE race

On Saturday morning with ideal conditions for racing, 17 CSH members took part in the very popular BHAA RTE 5mile race. First home for the CSH ladies was Grainne Butler in a super time of 32mins11sec which earned Grainne 1st place in her category. Second CSH lady was Loise Seger in 35mins29sec and then Mairead Cullen in 40mins27sec. Well done also to Margaret Moloney. First home for the CSH men was Paul Cowhie in a fantastic time of 26mins29sec which earned him 7th place overall in the race and 1st in his category. Second CSH man was Eoin Kealy in 31mins37sec and then Paul Cullen in 32sec36mins. Not to be outdone by Paul and Grainne, the 3rd 1st place in a category to a CSH member went to Brendan Early in a time on 55mins23sec – fantastic to see Brendan racing again at this event. On a day for PBs – PBs were achieved by Paul Cullen, Owen McFeely, Brian Doyle and Stephen Downey. In the team prizes CSH was represented by Grainne Butler who was on the Health team that came 1st in the Ladies divison, Stephen Lynch and Ciaran Donaghy who were on the Ordance Survey team that was 2nd in C Class and Brendan Early who was on the Dept of Justice team that was 3rd in C Class. Well done to all and looking forward to the next races later this month.
