A great day at the K-Club

On a perfect day for running we had 22 CSH members (6 ladies and 16 men) race as part of a field of 490 runners at the BHAA K-Club 10k. First home for the men was Paul Cowhie in a time of 33min24sec which earned him 6th place overall in the race and 1st in his category. Second man home was Dave Sweeney in 35min18sec followed by Jason Harte in 38min27sec who had Seamus O’Sullivan hot on his heels in 38min29sec. First home for the ladies was BHAA debutant Ann Horan in 44min9sec followed by Marie Norris in 45mins3sec and then Claire Egan in 46min39sec. Well done also to Emer O’Keeffe who was also making her BHAA debut. In the team prizes on the day we had Dave Sweeney who was on the Garda team that came 1st in Class A and Owen McFeely on the Retail team that came 3rd in Class D. In a very well organised race there was great facilities and refereshments for all after the race. Prizes were also presented on the day for the Winter league 11/12 – well done to Paul Cowhie, Tony Keegan, Joe Delaney, Brian Doyle, Brian Corr, Hughie Byrne, Stephen Downey, Angie McElligot, Marie Norris and Brid Ryan – full details on the BHAA website.
