BHAA Garda XC – (2017 #5)

Well done to everyone competing and training this week.


The next race on the BHAA XC Winter League Calendar is the Alsaa XC, at Alsaa Sports Complex on Sat. 18th Feb. There will be separate starts for the ladies 2 mile and mens 5 mile races. Full Info and entries via BHAA Website: https://bhaa.ie/events/

Well done to Ritta Kansanniva, Paul Cowhie and Sean Ryan who were selected for Dublin Masters team duties in Waterford next Sunday.


Congratulations to everyone who competed in the BHAA Garda Boat Club/St. Raphaels XC at the Magizine Fort yesterday. In the ladies Laura Cullen was first CSHer home in 7th place (4th SF), having a great run. Brid Ryan (8th SF) was next finishing in 18th place, well done to Brid. In the men’s race Eoin Devlin had a super race to finish in 5th place (3rd SM), well done to Eoin. Eanna Kavanagh had a great race too in 17th (9th SM) with Dave Hipwell in 21st (3rd M45) picking up a category prize also. Martin Prunty was finishing strong in 24th (5th M40). Ronan Ward was 50th place (3rd M60) with Nick Devery in 53rd (6th M55), Paul Cullen in 61st (7th M50) and Andrew Davies in 66th (8th M50). We also had a crew of Harriers competing in the Rathcoffey 10k yesterday. Patrick Coyle was first of our gang in 10th place, with Andrew Moore and Eoin Kealy 14th & 15th respectively.
