A summary of the racing events that included CSH members over the Christmas holidays.
CSH Turkey Race
There has been much racing activity from the CSH members over the Christmas holidays. It all kicked off with our annual 4mile Turkey Race on 22nd Dec. This is race is a 4 mile handicap, 4 times around the polo grounds. On a mild morning 30 members stepped up the line with the event being managed by our handicapper John Byrne. 1st was Joan O’Callaghan with Fiona Byrne 2nd and Lauryn Evans in 3rd place. A special award was also given for New Member of the Year and this was jointly awarded to Lauryn Evans and Susan Driver.Cavan Santa Dash 5k

Many congratulations to Shirley Mitchell who had a PB at this even on 29th Dec with a time of 38mins44sec. Shirley was 2nd lady home and 6th overall in the race.Tom Brennan 5k – 1st Jan 2013
Well done to the 11 CSH members who ran in the annual Liffey Valley AC Tom Brennan memorial 5k race in the Phoenix Park on 1st Jan. Congrats to Paul Cowhie who was 13th overall in the race in 16mins24sec and 2nd in his category.Full results are in the results section of the website.
