Dublin Masters XC – (2017 #1)

Well done to everyone training or racing this week. Please note the training times are back to our standard training slots (also, 2017 subs are now due).


We had a small crew of Harriers opening up their 2017 accounts in the BHAA Bank of Ireland XC, in Faughs GAA Club, Tymon Pk. Templeogue on Sat. 07th Jan. There was separate starts for the ladies 2 mile and mens 4 mile races. In the ladies race we had Eithne Ni Mhurchadha in action, taking timeout from her BHAA chairperson duties. First CSH’er home in the mens races was Jason Reilly in 23rd place, followed closely by Eanna Kavanagh in 24th and  Eoin Kealy in 31st, with Paul O’Neill having a great race in 34th. Vincent O’ Neill was first M60, very well done to Vincent. Bren Farrell was in action also, finishing 11th M40, with Ken Byrne 11th M50 and Brian Corr 15th M50. Well done to Paul McEvoy also, and everyone competing. There were more CSH’ers in action today in the Dublin Athletics Masters Cross Country at St Anne’s Park, Raheney. In the ladies 3K race, we had Siobhan Carroll, Patricia Sheehan, Marie Norris, Gemma Treacy and Riitta Kansanniva.
