Dunshaughlin 10k – (2016 Weekly Report #24)

Well done to all competing and training this week.
This Thursday evening 23rd June the 4th and final leg of our annual club 2 mile league will take place. The best 3 out of 4 runs will be counted. The winner of the 2016 2 mile league will then be announced at a club coffee morning, date to be confirmed. Well done to all who have competed in the last 3 weeks. Please note, the coffee morning will not go ahead on Sun. 26th as previously advertised. More on this to follow….
Well done to all competing in the Business Houses Athletics Association Trinity Track Meeting and Team Challenge on Wednesday the 15th June 2016. Jason Harte was 7th place in his 6/7 standard for the 1000 yards and 5th in the 2000 yards. David Hipwell was 4th in his 8/9 standard 1000 yards & 2nd in 2000 yards. In the ladies races, Eithne Ni Mhurchadha was competing in the 1000 yards & 2000 yards. Well done to Neil O’ Rourke, racing in the Irish Milers Club & Crusaders A.C GV Ryan track meet on Friday night in Irishtown, finishing 3rd in the B 3000m. Eithne Ni Mhurchadha was winner of the ladies shot putt, very well done to Eithne. Yesterday’s action saw a group of CSH’ers travelling to Dunshaughlin for the Dunshauglin A.C. Michael Manning 10k. First of the ladies was Claire Egan in 15th place, a big congratulations to Laura Cullen who was next CSH’er in 20th position, winning her u20 category. Brid Ryan was next in 24th place, with Lorraine Lynch running well in 48th, Marie O’Connell in 62nd, and Katryn Reilly ran a new P.B of 48mins 31secs. Congratulations to Noel Ryan who was 9th man home in the Castleknock 5k this morning, finishing 2nd in his category in a new P.B. time of 18mins 32secs, great run by Noel. Joan O’ Callaghan was also in action with an impressive 7th place lady and 3rd Senior home, excellent run also.
