National Novice Cross Country December 2018

Our men’s A team put the rest of us to shame last Saturday by braving storm Deirdre to take on the National Novice XC in Navan. Apparently it had it all – wind, rain, mud, hills and hairpin bends. Despite the conditions a massive 254 men turned up for the race, including 6 of our own finest.

First of our men home was Eoin Devlin in 29th place. Eoin had also been selected for the Dublin county team, which placed second in the county competition. Eoin was 4th scorer out of 6 for the Dublin team. Fantastic running from Eoin and great to see the club representing at county level.

Next home was Patrick Coyle, in 127th place. Well done Podge. Podge was followed by Jason Reilly (154th), Patrick O’Reilly (193rd), Eoin Kealy (212th), and Tibor Kulich (213rd). The men’s team finished 23rd out of 32 teams. Great running guys. Hope you got some well-deserved pints afterwards!
