    Marathon Championship Results – (2016 Weekly Report #44)

    Well done to everyone competing and training this week. Training has continued on all fronts this with Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7pm sessions at CSH Clubhouse – Phoenix Park. Saturday morning 10am session in Morton Stadium, Santry & at CSH Clubhouse. Sunday morning 9:30am long-run from CSH Clubhouse.
    It was a quiet week of racing with eyes the next race the Irish Life XC, taking place on the Santry Demense on Sat. 17th Nov. with 6k combined start. This is the 2nd race of the BHAA XC 2016 Calendar/Winter League. See link here: https://bhaa.ie/events/irish-life-cc-2016/
    The Leinster Senior XC Championships will take place on Sunday 13th Nov. 2016, with entries via Club Secretary to Leinster Athletics website also. http://www.athleticsleinster.org/
    Dublin Athletics Board and Athletics Ireland issued out Championship results this week following last Sundays Dublin City Marathon, incorporation the Dublin Marathon Champions and Irish Marathon Championships.     Well done to Siobhan Carroll who finished in 3hrs10mins43secs, claiming 3rd place in the Dublin F35 Championships. Super running by Siobhan.
    Sean Ryan who finished in 3hrs16mins33secs, claimed Championship Gold in the Dublin M55 Championships. Very well done Sean. Ronan Ward who finished in 3hrs04mins34secs, was a double medal winner with 2nd place in the Dublin M60 Championships and 2nd place in the Athletics Ireland National M60 Championships.     Dublin City Marathon – (2016 Weekly Report #43)

    A big big congratulations to our crew of CSH’ers who took part in the SSE Airtricity Dublin City Marathon, taking place yesterday Sunday 30th October around the streets and districts of Dublin. Well done to everyone competing (and also a big thank you also to anyone who had volunteered for stewarding).

    Well done to Siobhan Carroll who was first of our ladies home in the SSE Airtricity Dublin City Marathon, finishing in a very impressive 3hrs10mins43secs. Marie O’Connell was next home in 3hrs36mins41secs, super running by Marie. Well done to Sara Mofatt finishing in 4hrs11mins15secs. Marie Norris was also in action, finishing in 4hrs27mins25secs.     There were no shortage of superb performances by our crew of men with Patrick Coyle finishing in 2hrs56mins28secs and 82nd SM, an excellent run by Podge breaking the 3hr mark, following closely was Ger Clerkin in 2hrs57mins38secs, also under the 3hrs. Next CSH’er home was Ronan Ward in an astonishing time of 3hrs04mins34secs, placing 3rd in M60 category. Colm Brady had a fine marathon debut, finishing in 3hrs05mins21secs. Sean Ryan had a fine run in 3hrs16mins33secs, with a top 20 category placing. Padraig Doyle was next in 3hrs29mins10secs breaking the 3.5 hr mark, with Paul Pugh in 3hrs46mins54secs, running well inside the 4hrs. Keith Farrell, another man dipping inside the 4 hrs, in 3hrs57mins02secs on the clock. Stephen Downey was in action also with a fine run of 4hrs11mins32secs.     Races Ahead – (2016 Weekly Report #42)

    It was a quiet weekend for racing this week with a crew of CSH’ers looking ahead to the SSE Airtricity Dublin City Marathon, taking place on Sunday 30th October. The very best of luck to everyone competing (and also a big thank you also to anyone who has volunteered for stewarding).
