Well done to all CSH’ers in action this weekend. With last week being the final XC race of the Winter calendar, much of our athletes are now transitioning over to road racing training.
Congratulations to Patrick O’Reilly and Marie O’Connell who were first of the men and ladies home in our club race yesterday morning in Phoenix Park. Patrick broke clear of the lead group of the 20 strong field in the 2nd lap, with Bren Farrell in 2nd and Nick Devery following closely in 3rd. Marie has continued her steady improvement winning the ladies race and finishing strongly, with Joan in 2nd and Marie Norris in 3rd. Well done to everyone competing.
The prize giving afterwards included some club prizes following the end of the XC season.
Claire Egan and Mairead O’Shaughnessy were jointly honoured with best improved female athletes of the campaign, with Jason Reilly taking the men’s award. Anna Sadowska receive the top female athlete award with Neil O’ Rourke taking the mens award. Well done to all.
Well done to Ashley Ryan who raced a 10k in Monaco, Montecarlo where she was 5th overall female and first in her senior category. Super running by Ashley.
Neil O’Rourke was 1st home in the St. Laurence O’Tooles Fit4life ‘Run4life’ 5k in a time of 15:56. Great running by Neil. Hazel Coogan was in action also. Full results via MyRunResults: http://www.myrunresults.com/events/st._laurence_o_toole_ac_run4life_5k__10k_/149/results
