Rathcoffey 10k

Well done to Eoin Devlin who finished 4th in the Rathcoffey 10k in a frankly ridiculous time of 31:31. Great running Eoin. There was also a top 10 finish for Jason Reilly who finished in 34:13. Well done Jason. Brian Walls also had a great run finishing in a PB time of 35:29. Eanna Kavanagh was next home in 36:32, with Patrick Reilly close behind in a PB time of 36:41. Tibor Kulich was next in a time of 37:21. Great racing from the lads with all of their recent hard work obviously paying off.

Adare 10k

Bernard Duggan and local girl Brid Ryan headed down to Adare for their annual 10k. A stiff breeze made for some tough racing conditions. Bernard was 15th overall with a time of 36 minutes. Brid finished 8th in the women’s race in a time of 43:56. Great running guys!

BHAA XC Maynooth

The final race in the BHAA cross country calendar took place in Maynooth last Saturday. Grainne Butler was our only participant in the women’s race, finishing 9th overall and first in her age category. Well done Grainne.

In the 4 mile race, Gareth Horgan was first man home finishing in 12th position. Dave Hipwell wasn’t far behind in 14th position and managed to bag first prize in his age category. Well done Dave. Andy Davie finished in 28th and third in age category. Well done Andy. Nick wasn’t far behind finishing in 30th place, followed by Vincent O’Neill in 37th (3rd in his age category), and Joe Delaney in 80th place. Well done guys.

And finally….

A reminder that the Captains’ club relay will take place next Saturday, March 2. Meeting at the club house for 10am before warm-up and then the 4×1 mile race. Would love to see everyone there!
