The CSH men were out in force on Sunday May 13 to race in the Terenure 5 mile. This annual race typically attracts a strong field so we sent 10 of our best to take it on.

No surprise to hear that Eoin Devlin was first of our men home, finishing in a blistering 26:34 and 11th overall. Well done Eoin. Great running also from Bernard Duggan who finished in 27:43. Eanna Kavanagh continued his good run of form with a time of 28:25. Club newcomer Brian Walls was next home in an impressive 29:18. Well done Brian, we’ll keep you! He was then followed by Jason Reilly in 29:40.

It was a threeway sprint for the finish for Paul O’Neill, Martin Prunty and Patrick O’Reilly, but Paul claimed bragging rights finishing in 29:58. Martin snuck in under the 30 minute minute mark and Patrick finished bang on 30 minutes. Gareth Horgan also had a good run to finish in 30:32. Sean Ryan’s finish time of 31:38 left him second-placed O55. Well done Sean!

The team consisting of Eoin, Bernard, Eanna and Brian were 4th placed men’s team overall. A really good showing considering the depth of field out there. Well done guys!

Further afield Ashley Ryan was picking up medals yet again. Ashley was second lady home in the Tullamore 5k, finishing in 17:17 and beating her not-even-a-week-old 5k PB. She’s some woman!

Next race on the calendar is the PB-friendly Dunshaughlin 10k on June 23rd at 7.30pm. Sure what else would you be doing on Saturday evening in June!
