Summer Runnin’ – (2017 #20+21)

Well done to everyone competing and training over the last 2 weeks, and hope everyone is making the most of the nice warm weather and getting plenty of miles in.

The Brendan Early 2 Mile League kicked-off on Tuesday 16th May for four weeks: Tuesday 16th May and Tuesday 23rd May had great numbers in attendance. Thursday 1st June (to facilitate those running the BHAA 5 mile race in Dunboyne on 30th May) and Tuesday 6th June we hope to see the same. Please be aware that this is a handicapped race meaning that the fastest person does not necessarily win, so it is a great competition for all club members to take part in! There will be prize giving in the clubhouse on Saturday 17th June at the next club coffee morning.  It would be great to have as many members as possible participate given the great numbers attending training on Tuesdays!

As noted above, the BHAA Government Services 5 Mile Road race will take place on Tuesday 30th May at 8pm in Dunboyne, with info via BHAA website: and entries via My Run Results:

The Patrick Bell Bohermeen 5k will take place on Sat. 10th June entries via My Run Results:

Looking ahead… the Castleknock 5k will be on the 18th June. National Half Marathon/Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon will take place Sun 13th Aug.
